Pointflow, one of the fastest-growing pickleball coaching education platforms in Asia, has officially awarded a new cohort of coaching certifications, further cementing its position as the gold standard for pickleball coach development, validation, and education.
New coaches Jean Fu and Wiley Pan were awarded their Pointflow Level 1 (L1) Coaching Certifications, marking the beginning of their journey as certified coaches under the Pointflow framework.
At the same time, Jessie Koh, Vivian Qin, and Claire Zhang successfully achieved their Pointflow Level 2 (L2) Coaching Certifications after completing one of the most demanding coaching development pathways currently available in pickleball.
More Than Just a Certificate
Unlike traditional certification programs that focus solely on classroom attendance, Pointflow places significant emphasis on practical coaching experience, continual assessment, and real-world application.
To achieve their L2 certification, coaches were required to:
- Accumulate more than 900 hours of coaching experience
- Complete the comprehensive Pointflow online curriculum
- Participate in practical coaching assessments
- Demonstrate their ability to coach players in competition environments
- Receive ongoing evaluations and feedback from senior coaches
- Show evidence of player development and coaching progression
The result is a certification pathway that prioritizes coaching competence over participation alone.
This rigorous process ensures that every Pointflow-certified coach possesses not only technical knowledge but also the communication, observation, analysis, and player development skills required to operate at a professional level.
A Breakthrough Year for Pointflow
The latest certifications represent another important milestone for Pointflow.
Over the past year, Pointflow has evolved from a coaching platform into a complete coach education ecosystem, combining digital learning, curriculum delivery, coach assessments, player development tools, and certification management into a single platform.
One of the most significant innovations is the introduction of digital coaching certificates with QR-code validation.

Students, clubs, academies, tournament organizers, and employers can now instantly verify the authenticity of a coach’s certification by simply scanning the QR code embedded within each digital credential.
This creates a transparent and trusted ecosystem where coaching credentials can be verified in seconds.
As part of Pointflow’s continued commitment to quality assurance, these certifications now supersede previous PCP coaching credentials. Coaches seeking ongoing validation within the ecosystem will be required to obtain and maintain their Pointflow certifications, ensuring that coaching standards remain current, measurable, and verifiable.
Building Trust Through Validation
According to Pointflow Master Coach Darren Ho, coaching validation is becoming increasingly important as pickleball continues its rapid global growth.
“As pickleball grows, the industry needs more than just coaches—we need validated coaches. A certification should represent real coaching ability, real experience, and a commitment to continuous improvement. That’s why Pointflow places such a strong emphasis on practical coaching hours, ongoing assessment, and accountability.”
Ho believes that maintaining high standards has also allowed Pointflow to attract strong strategic partners who share a similar vision for coach education and player development.
“We’ve deliberately chosen the harder path by setting very high standards for certification and validation. Those standards have enabled us to onboard partners who are leaders in curriculum development, coach education, and sports methodology. Together, we’re building something much bigger than a certification programme—we’re helping shape the future of pickleball education and academy development across Asia and beyond.”
The Future of Pickleball Education
As Pointflow continues to expand internationally, its focus remains clear: develop better coaches, create better learning experiences, and establish trusted standards that players, parents, clubs, and organizations can rely upon.
With a growing network of certified coaches, validated credentials, and strategic education partners, Pointflow is positioning itself as a cornerstone of the modern pickleball coaching ecosystem.
For aspiring coaches, the message is simple: certification is no longer just about attending a course. It is about demonstrating the knowledge, experience, and professionalism required to guide the next generation of players.
And for Pointflow, that commitment to excellence remains non-negotiable.
Become More Than a Coach. Become Discoverable.
Pointflow certification is designed for coaches who want more than just a certificate. Through structured education, practical coaching development, digital credential verification, and international opportunities, Pointflow is helping coaches build meaningful careers in pickleball.
